THE PSYCHOLOGY OF PROPAGANDA†
This paper was originally intended as one in a series of three lectures on the Psychology of Propaganda, which were to have been delivered by Dr Adrian Stephen, Dr Hargreaves and myself, but which were cancelled owing to the war. The greater part of it was written in the two months immediately before the war, and has only been corrected in minor details. One or two paragraphs, as indicated in footnotes, have been added subsequently; but pressure of work since the beginning of the war has unfortunately made it impossible for me to undertake any complete revision, or to bring my examples up to date.
